UK rock band Anchor Lane have built a reputation as a thrilling and dynamic live act. After coming to the public’s attention with their stunning debut EP ‘New Beginning’, the band toured incessantly securing notable guest spots with Cheap Trick, Eagles of Death Metal and Tremonti as well as performances at prominent music festivals Download, Isle of Wight, Stone Free, Belladrum and Hard Rock Hell.
October 2019 saw Anchor Lane unveil details of their eagerly awaited debut album, ‘Casino’. Packed with immense sounding up-tempo tracks, it showcases the band as exceptional rock musicians and skilled songwriters. The album was written by singer Conor Gaffney, guitarist Lawrence O’ Brien, bass player Matthew Quigley and drummer Scott Hanlon in Glasgow and was recorded at Vale Studios in the Midlands with renowned rock musician, writer and producer Toby Jepson (Wayward Sons, Gun, Little Angels).
‘Casino’ features tracks co-written by rock legend Ricky Warwick (Black Star Riders, Thin Lizzy, The Almighty), hook-driven opener ‘Blood & Irony’ which showcases Gaffney’s prowess as a frontman with intoxicating howling vocals and the incredibly catchy stadium-rock ‘Dead Run’ which also features Warwick on backing vocals.
The first taste of the album came in the shape of ‘Fame Shame’. The widely acclaimed single gained considerable radio play and received an overwhelming response from rock clubs up and down the UK.
‘Casino’ is set for release on the 31st of January 2020.
