Glasgow rock band Anchor Lane’s stunning debut EP ‘New Beginning’ highlights the band as skilled songwriters with a talent for writing formidable riffs and delivering powerhouse vocals. The band’s first single release was the epic fan favourite ‘Finished For Twelve’.
Anchor Lane have rapidly grown in stature and reputation, steadily building momentum and picking up rave reviews in national and regional press with their own headline shows, electrifying festival performances and key guest slots.
2018 was an incredible year for Anchor Lane. As well as hitting the road for their first headline Scottish tour, the band had a remarkable run of prominent festival performances including slots at the famed Isle Of Wight Festival, Stone Free at London’s O2 Arena, Hard Rock Hell, Winterstorm and Scotland’s beloved Belladrum Festival.
A highlight was the legendary Download Festival where the band played a blinding set on the Dogtooth Stage to a packed-out tent of fervent fans. To round-off a sensational year Anchor Lane were thrilled to be asked to join rock legend Tremonti (lead guitarist with Creed and Alter Bridge) as special guests at a sold out show at Glasgow’s O2 Academy. Continuing their stellar live form into 2019, Anchor Lane joined UK heavy rock front runners Stone Broken on the northern leg of their UK tour and became been special guests to Eagles Of Death Metal and US legends Cheap Trick
The band are currently hard at work on their much-anticipated debut album which is being produced by Toby Jepson (Little Angels, Wayward Sons) and features songs co-written by Ricky Warwick (The Almighty, Black Star Riders, Thin Lizzy).
